  • Palestinian detainee Mahmoud Sarsak is finally released by Israeli authorities after 96 days on hunger strike; Sarsak, a member of Palestine’s national soccer team, has his case taken up by many international groups including FIFA.

A live interview with Bruce Katz from Montreal, one of the cofounders of Palestinian and Jewish Unity PAJU, about the group’s objectives and recent boycott campaigns. Bruce told us how he and the late Palestinian Canadian Rezek Faraj had formed PAJU and the activities of the groups, including many years of picketing the Israeli consulate in Montreal and now weekly pickets of the Naot shoe store. He also detailed the racist attacks members of the group had experienced during the pickets and the lack of response by both police and official institutions.
