Prof. Abdelhamid Siyam on Bahrain and the U.S. Role in the Region
This week, Voice of Palestine talks with Dr. Abdelhamid Siyam, a professor at the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies in Rutgers University. Prof. Siyam, who also worked for the United Nations for 25 years, joins us again to talk about U.S. policies in the region, the movement for democracy in Bahrain and the role of the Arab Gulf regimes in trying to suppress such movements.
Our final piece of music is by Lebanese singer Julia Boutros, We are the Uprising and the Anger. We dedicate it to all the struggling Arab peoples confronting imperial tyranny and dictatorships.
