This week Voice of Palestine interviews Charlotte Kates, the coordinator of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network. We talk with her about the work of Samidoun and the conditions of Palestinian political prisoners, including the case of Lina Khattab, a young 18 year old Palestinian media student at Bir Zeit University and folkloric dancer with El Funoun. Lina was just sentenced by an Israeli military court at Ofer to six months imprisonment on 16 February after it convicted her on charges of “throwing stones” and “participating in an unlawful demonstration.”
