Amelia talked about her book, which tells the true story of the only Palestinian zoo in Qalqilya in the West Bank, a city totally surrounded on 3 sides by the apartheid wall. She also explained about her other experiences in the occupied territories, and the difficulties with traveling due to the checkpoints and other restrictions. She encouraged listeners to support the Palestinian people in concrete ways, particularly through grassroots projects that directly assist Palestinians.
